Police in Almaty have shut down an online drug store that was allegedly involved in contactless drug distribution across the city and surrounding region.
According to the Almaty Police Department, 11 individuals were detained during operational measures. The suspects include organizers, coordinators, and those responsible for handling financial transactions.
Approximately three kilograms of synthetic drugs were seized, along with communication devices, bank cards, and digital storage media used to manage the illegal operation.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched.
Earlier, authorities in the Mangystau Region dismantled another criminal group consisting of four local residents involved in supplying opium-based drugs.
