President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has once again commented on his decision to dismiss Kamchybek Tashiev from his post as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and head of the State Committee for National Security.
Japarov said that before signing the decree, he personally called Tashiev to explain the situation and inform him of the upcoming decision.
According to the president, the move was intended to prevent potential instability. He claimed that certain individuals close to Tashiev had been approaching members of parliament and government officials, urging them to “side with the general.”
Japarov warned that such actions could have led to divisions within the state apparatus and society.
“For me, the stability of the country comes first,” he emphasized.
Tashiev was officially dismissed on February 10. Later, he stated that he had traveled abroad for medical examinations following a previous surgery. He described the dismissal as unexpected but stressed that the president’s decision must be respected.
